Information on helping victims
Victims of human trafficking can only be helped once they are noticed and identified. You too may have a role in identifying victims of human trafficking and guiding them towards help.
On this site, you will find advice on how to identify victims of human trafficking, encounter them and get help for them. In Finland, victims of human trafficking have special rights, for example the right to access safe housing and health care.
At Ihmiskauppa.fi you will also find out what to do if you have a customer who has already been admitted to the Assistance system for victims of human trafficking. If you are a local municipal worker, under the section about the role of the home municipality you will find out what the obligations of the victim’s municipality of residence are.
